Sime Nugent returns to the Bridge this Spring.
Sime has toured nationally and internationally throughout Australia, Europe and America and released more than a dozen albums with a range of bands in his 25 year career.
He's also spent a lot of time in his tracksuit pants since the spicy cough went viral.
Sime has worked under his own name; with indie duo Sweet Jean and three time Aria nominees - The Wilson Pickers. More recently he's played with Linda Bull in 'Stardust - songs of Willie Nelson' and with Paul Kelly on his Christmas Album, the song ' Sleep Australia Sleep' and at the legendary How to Make Gravy shows. Sime travels with a mix of his own songs and other people's.
The Capes band features Steve Hesketh, Shane Reilly, Zane Lind and Roger Bergodaz who've variously played with You Am I, The Drones, Tex Perkins Man in Black, Mick Thomas and Lost Ragas. Some of Melbourne’s finest and most experienced players on hammond organ, bass, drums, baritone and pedal steel guitars along with Sime's own agricultural nylon string guitar and evocative voice.
You should come. It'll be a good hang.
