Melbourne based singer-songwriters Heide Peverelle, Gracie Sinclair and Jeanie Pilkington combined voices in late 2019 to create Folk Bitch Trio. Proceeding to play venues throughout Melbourne’s north in the following summer, the melancholy, raw sound of FBT’s compositions has drawn in listeners with their gentle guitar melodies and rich vocal harmony. While taking influence from contemporary folk artists such as Gillian Welch, Julia Jacklin and The Staves, Folk Bitch Trio combines their individual voices into a lush blend of confessional lyricism and three-part harmony, which showcases a sound of their own.
