Oscar Lush Album Launch + Georgia Spain

In July of this year Oscar Lush released his sophomore full length album ‘Black Dog’; a dark alternative country record which heavily reflects on depression, loss, and change. Following the album's release - feeling burnt out by the process - Lush took a break from performing to focus on his mental health and life outside music. Now, for a few dates in December, he is returning - with Dom Hede (drums) & Matthew Colin (bass) alongside - to perform the songs from 'Black Dog', as well as new material written since its release.

Recorded live & locally with Alex Bennett at Sound Recordings in Campbells Creek, vinyl copies of Black Dog (a 100% analogue product) will be available on the night.

"equal amounts of tension and regret...bruised but not burdened...channels both a downtown Manhattan folk bar in 1962 and an upstate pink house in the shadow of Overlook Mountain in 1967" - Bernard Zuel

"burns with quiet intensity...wrapped up in an elegant country sway...as dark and syrupy as a moonless night..." - Liam Doyle, Various Small Flames (UK)

Joining them on the night will be local musician Georgia Spain and her band. Georgia's arresting poetry sits comfortably amongst her unique melding of folk, country, and dark alternate rock. She found her voice following the death of her sister in 2012, looking for a way to make sense of the senseless through songwriting and performing. Her debut full length album 'Trouble Isn't Something You Can Hold' (released in May) is a powerful exploration of familial relationships, new love, and the disturbing turns the world is taking in a time of social, political and earthly crisis.
