Off the back of their debut EP Clumsy, pink wool press tackle the stage at The Bridge Hotel to hand deliver a vibrant set of original compositions and share their latest single ‘I really hate to bring it up again’ with the good folk of Castlemaine.
pink wool press is made up of 5 Australian native fauna, Mike (guitar and yodelling yabby), Tom Robinson (recording engineer and lead guitar galah), Shaun Fogarty (vocals and woodwind wallaby), Callum Barker (bass bandicoot) and Finton Hocking (percussion platypus).
The Melbourne/Geelong/Ballarat group navigate a viscous blend of folk and indie-rock to provide a familiar yet quirky musical presence that holds just about something for everyone. Their comforting sound and presence is attributed to the rich arrangements, lively rhythms, animated lyricism, warm clarinet, twinkly glockenspiel, jangly guitars and a well rounded bass.
With local legend and ray of sunshine Mon Coeur playing goal assist at 3PM and pink wool press taking goal attack at 4PM, you will be in excellent company for a Sunday afternoon worth bragging about to your work mates in the tea room.
