The Hot Springs + Oscar Lush

Join The Hot Springs in celebrating the release of their debut EP returning to the illustrious Bridge Hotel, with support from locals Oscar Lush & band.

Released through kitchen-table label Hangout, The Hot Springs have mixed elements of romantic poetry, country and grunge into their debut EP.

Recorded with Andy White at Ferntree Gully studio The Growlery, the EP is a culmination of songs written by Georgia Knight and Adam Heath over the past year, as well as two tracks formed in the studio. Inspired by the likes of gothic-country flagships Neko Case and Grant Lee-Buffalo as well as elements of classic and Aussie rock, the EP showcases the band’s balance of lead saxophone (Renn Picard) and guitar (Adam Heath) alongside Louis Majiwa on bass and Cassie Kumaschow on drums, with the lyrical storytelling of Knight, whose vocals have earned comparisons to Patti Smith and Chris Isaac.

After returning from a European tour in late 2016 Oscar Lush took a break from live performing, and has just finished crowd funding the release of his new record 'Black Dog', recorded with Alex Bennett at Sound Recordings in Campbells Creek. Slowly returning to the stage, he will be performing songs from 'Black Dog' among others.
