Self-defined as concave mess-room romantica, Where Was I uses noise and frozen signals to warp between reflection and presence. In her use of guitar loops, improvisation, live samples, and elements of rock music, her pieces often carry with them a cold romanticism.

H.R. peddles a brand of dark, soulful country-inspired guitar jams that meld ethereal harmonies under rumbling, rhythmic layers of solid gain and fuzzy ambience.
